Chairperson PAL visits National Book Foundation


ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (APP):Chairperson Pakistan Academy of  Letters (PAL) Dr. Najiba Arif along with Director General Sultan Nasir Nawaz visited  National Book Foundation (NBF) here on Friday.
MD NBF Murad Ali Mohmand, welcomed the guests and showcased the foundations’ literary treasures, including the National Book Museum, Wall of Honours, and Indonesian corner.
The National Book Museum, a first-of-its-kind in Pakistan, boasts rare Qur’anic manuscripts, historical calligraphy examples, and memorial corners dedicated to literary giants.
The museum’s unique features, such as golden statues of renowned writers and book-themed decor, left a lasting impression on the visitors.
Dr. Najiba Arif praised the NBF’s efforts, calling the book museum a “unique and valuable” resource for readers, writers, and literature enthusiasts.
The NBF is committed to promoting book culture through various initiatives, including book fairs, storytelling sessions in educational institutions, and launching ceremonies for published works.
The foundation has also established corners dedicated to foreign embassies in Pakistan, showcasing the knowledge, art, and culture of participating countries.
These attractions have made the NBF a hub for literary enthusiasts from Pakistan and abroad.
